/cheerios
The assignment was to give Cheerios a completely new look (but keep the logo pretty much as it is). So, me and my crew (Anna-Stina Nilsson and Julia Abrahamsson) went for a minimal, but wonderful, world full of meaning.
We have the three creatures (almost bear-like) named Alice, Esther and Frank.
Alice, purple, is the clever one. She enjoys sitting in her Cheerio-thinking-boat , thinking about how things work and also doing experiments. Esther, yellow, is the creative one. She would much rather paint, knit, play on her Cheerio-banjo or take a dip in the honey lake. And then we have Frank, turquoise, the active one. Most of all he loves to dance, but he also enjoys juggling with Cheerios, to skip and riding on his bike. They are all pals and do fun things together, and also give each other ideas of what to do. On the backside of the packaging, they mention some of them - connected to whomever the character is on the packaging. So, on Esther's flavour, we for instance put a step-by-step d.i.y. on how to make a tin can phone.
The design is made to work smoothly all around the packaging and to keep the kids entertained. With simple, but fun, illustrations and landscapes, we can both attract the parents and children.
